100 Beds Hospital, Pune Cantonment Board, Pune

The design of the 100 beds Isolation Department Hospital for Pune Cantonment Board in Pune included responding to the composite climate and avoiding glare and heat from the south-facing building.

The integrated facility was planned with axial planning, segregation of vehicular and pedestrian movement, sterile corridor for emergency areas, natural lighting and ventilation, green building, Ground +3 structure, and elevation design in respect to the context of the city.

A Terracotta Jali pattern facade was used as the essence of traditional architecture to create shaded facades. The project scope also included preparing a detailed project report.

The proposed built-up area for the hospital was 85000 sqft.
